Happy birthday to meeeeee, happy biiiiiirthdaaaaayyyy tooooooooooooooo-
SILENCE!
So guess what? Today, January tenth, is my birthday, and I'm turning seventeen! Seventeen is actually my favorite number, so I think I may like it even better than sixteen.
I'm sure I'll be receiving some great things today, but best of all is getting to share it with you guys! So I decided to be all Hobbit-y again and give stuff away instead. (You know, 'cause hobbits give other people things on their birthdays instead of the other way around...yyyeaaaah. xD)
Anyway.
This is just one in a series of three shimejis I've posted. Perry was the second shimeji I made, and I have to admit, I think he's seriously adorable. Remember, he's free to download, so here's some instructions if it's your first time:
First, you'll need to download a program like Jzip, Winzip, or Winrar. The first one is free and it works just fine, so I recommend it. Once you've got that installed, choose the 'download file' button to the left of the image. Your computer will probably say something about how it doesn't know what program to open the file with, so choose to select a program from a list. Then pick Jzip. Once you've got it open in Jzip, you'll need to extract the files and put them in a folder. Then you just double click the 'shimeji' file (the Java one), and your shimeji should fall right out of the ceiling and into your screen!
And I think that just about concludes all I had to say. Have an awesome day, you guys~!
Dude, this is AMAZING! Way better than the only other Perry Shimeji I found. Thanks for this. Seriously. My computer screen is just... so much better now.
This looks great. But I do have one problem, after I downloaded an error occurs saying: "Could not find the main class: com.group_finity.mascot.Main." Could you possible have one as an .exe.
But other than that, it looks perfect from the images i saw
Ah, yes, about that. You see, dA did some weird thing when I was trying to post it- something about how I couldn't post executable files. So I removed the .exe. because it was apparently messing it up. The exe. never worked when I clicked on it anyway, so I didn't think it was a big deal.
One thing that I find usually works is to make a copy of a working shimeji's files, and then paste Perry's image files in the img folder, in place of the original ones.
I'm not really sure what else to do about it, but I can direct you to a helpful FAQ that might answer your question. [link]
